Interior colors and how they benefit your mood

Adelio Zaros • Oct 13, 2020

Whether you are looking to redecorate or just making small changes in your home, choosing the perfect color for each room and space will always be one of the most important decisions to make. Especially when you have the goal in mind of having different rooms to provoke different moods.

Just to be more specific about this, the bedroom should be more relaxed and peaceful, it should be your place to forget all the day to day activities and just focus on resting and renewing your energy for the next day. The dining room should be a family happy place, where you can sit with your loved ones and share with them your stories for the day and interact as a family.

Deros Painting wants to present you with some brief descriptions of how each color can benefit your mood on a daily basis, therefore you can have them in consideration when it comes the time to paint your place again. Pay attention to the following information:

1. Yellow

The kitchen is a great example of where we can use Yellow to bring a sense of light and sun inside our house hold. Yellow color has the capacity of catching the sunlight and leaves you with an uplifting sense of joy and fulfillment

2. Blue

Studies have shown that blue makes you feel relaxed, serene and focused. While blue rooms are lovely to lounge and get some rest, it is also important to take into consideration that pastel blue can turn out to be cold and chilly. Light, warm blue are also great and most of the time they are easily balanced with warm hues and furnishings.

3. White

There is some people who feel that painting interiors in white, will give them some hard times at the time of deciding what furniture to use on those spaces and reality is that few people take the challenge of using white, but there are some benefits of using this color when painting our homes. Putting white on your walls is an amazing way to help make your house feel roomier and more open and the people within it more neutral.

The real impression is that white spaces or bedrooms produce the idea of cleanliness and purity. Something validated already is that the color white evokes by itself a sense of protection, goodness and innocence.

4. Green

Previous studies conducted by the experts in work at home environments conclude that the green color used in your home office produces a high sense of productivity even being at home, also symbolizes prosperity and it helps to reduce anxiety.

5. Orange

Orange is a bright color that brings a sense of enthusiasm and a burst of energy, we don’t recommend using this color in bedrooms or living rooms as the intention for those places are to rest or get together as a family. Orange can also be used in your personal gym area, or maybe close to the entrance to your patio.

It’s a great color to use for socializing – especially around Christmas – and we would suggest that you keep this color to social rooms as opposed to rooms that are meant to be for relaxing.

6- Pink

Did you know that there is such a thing called the pink factor? This is when exposure to large amounts of pink can have a calming effect on the nerves and helps relieve feelings of anger and aggression, this has been studied and demonstrated by the experts. We all face stress in our daily lives and having a pink area where we can sit down and relax could help us to relax and plan how we will face those things that affect us on a daily basis.
